Five common tile shapes, and how to tell them apart. Each diagram shows the cut end of the tile.
Flat Tile
A clean, low-profile tile with a flat face and crisp, linear shadow lines. A favorite on modern and transitional homes, made in concrete or clay.

Interlocking Tile
Tiles that lock together along side channels for tight water control and strong wind performance. Made in flat and low profiles.

Mission / Two-Piece Barrel
The classic Spanish roof. Separate pan and cover tiles are laid by hand for deep, rolling shadow lines and rich color blends. The traditional choice for Mediterranean and historic homes.

Spanish S-Tile
A one-piece tile with a continuous S-curve that gives the barrel look with fewer pieces. One of the most common tile roofs across South Florida.
